Local Professionals For Subaru Service

WE LOVE SUBARUS
At Ashland Automotive, our certified technicians perform full service automotive maintenance and repair for Subarus. With nearly all our staff owning at least one Subaru, we’re very familiar with the regular needs of the Valley’s most popular make of vehicle.

The Subaru works so well for our geographical location because of its versatility. Most, but not all Subarus are all-wheel-drive (AWD), which means they’ll require a little more attention than a typical front-wheel-drive vehicle. For instance, when replacing tires on an AWD vehicle, all four tires are replaced together, thus preventing damage to the transfer case. Also, transfer case and rear differential fluids need to be replaced at regular intervals.

EXPERT SUBARU MAINTENANCE
With all the greatness of a Subaru, no car is without a weakness. Cylinder head gaskets commonly fail on Subaru engines starting around model years 1996. We have replaced hundreds of head gaskets on these engines. We follow the factory-specified method for changing the gaskets and use only factory gaskets.

We also present options to the customer for further maintenance while reassembling the engine. Performing other repairs while replacing the head gaskets can save a customer lots of money in the long run.

YOUR LOCAL CHOICE FOR SUBARU MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
One such additional repair is the Subaru timing belt. In order to replace cylinder head gaskets, the timing belt must be removed. Therefore, if the belt is old or has high mileage, we recommend changing it along with the belt tensioner and roller bearings at the same time.

We also recommend changing the crankshaft seals and camshaft seals at this time. With the right information the customer can make the choice that is right for them.
